OUR PROMISE- It is our mission to make it easy for you to reenter the “race world” this fall season. Our optimism is high on racing this fall based on the positive momentum with Maryland and Virginia’s reopening plans. We strongly believe it is important for your physical and mental health to shake off the “quarantine hangover” and continue to remain “race ready” through training and targeting the Fall Racing Season for your return to racing! Without question, Racine MultiSports will take the necessary steps to make racing safe for you and will comply with CDC and state guidelines.
It is with that in mind that we are relaunching our Fall Season! Our marketing will resume immediately which will include race announcements and price increases. OUR PROMISE to you…will be to offer refunds at 100% of your race fee if any of our 2020 fall races get canceled. Please feel comfortable registering for our races and watch the price increase schedule to save money. We look forward to seeing you at a starting line soon!

Welcome to the official site of the 12th Annual Hagerstown 5K Run #3, presented by Racine MultiSports.
Description: This 5K Run will start and end at Halfway Park in Hagerstown, MD…..just 25 minutes from Frederick, MD and 90 minutes from Baltimore and DC. This is a great park for running. The road and path are good surfaces and the vehicular traffic is minimal. The elevation is mild with no major climbs. This race runs at the same time as the Hagerstown Duathlon #2 and Hagerstown Youth Duathlon #2. Come experience a running event that intermingles with multi-sport athletes! Enjoy spectating the multi-sport action after your event!
Race Limit: 200 participants
Giving: This race will benefit the Cedar Ridge Children’s Home. Cedar Ridge provides quality residential care for abused, abandoned, neglected, adjudicated and emotionally challenged boys between the ages of 6 and 14. www.cedarridge.org

Run Course: The run will be an out and back course using the same 5K course as the Duathlon.
Start: We will use a mass start for this event.
Timing: This event will be professionally chip timed! We will be providing race day results at our results kiosk immediately after you finish your race. We will also provide a web link to results that you can share with your family and friends so they can follow your race on their web devices.
Course Support: We will have water and sport drink at the water stations as well as at the finish line. You will have 3 opportunities to hydrate on the course. The water stations are located approximately at miles .9, 1.5, 2.2. We will also have food items and beverages at the finish line area for volunteers and participants only.
Athlete Responsibility: It is the athletes responsibility to know the course. Please study the map, or even better practice, the course.
Pricing includes cotton/poly blend race shirt, food, and free race photos.

If you are unable to race and purchased race insurance during registration you will need to contact the provider directly to determine if you are eligible for a refund. If you are unable to race and did not buy insurance you can cancel your registration and receive a coupon to use towards another Racine MultiSports race within 12 months of your race date. The coupon value is determined below. The cancellation offer will expire when we are 10 days out from the race or closer. Contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org to initiate this process.
- Races not sold out, you will receive a 75% coupon credit until 10 days prior to the event.
- Races sold out or within 10 days of the event, there is no coupon offer for cancellations.
- The coupon value will be deducted from the fee you are paying for a future race. You will owe any balance due over the coupon value. (example: if the race is $75.00 and your coupon value is $50.00 then you will need to cover the $25.00 difference).

*Please keep in mind that we will have multiple races on the same day so expect long lines. It will be best to come early. Race numbers must be worn on the front of your shirt or waist and be visible the entire race.
Awards will go to the top finisher in each of the following categories. As this race grows we will offer awards deeper into each category.

Age Groups Male and Female: 15 and under, 16-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60+
Awards will be handed out at the awards ceremony following the race. No award will be mailed automatically. For a fee of $15, we will mail your award upon your request.
Event Rules: The park road is not closed to vehicular traffic so runners must be observant at all times. Runners must obey all race official instructions. Volunteers will be placed in key areas to help direct race traffic. Cutting the course or interfering with other athletes will result in disqualification. Race numbers must be worn on the front of your shirt or waist and be visible the entire race.

Please realize that with this offer we cannot ensure to capture you in each phase of the race. Additionally we will not be able to separate your photos by bib number. You will have to scroll through the race photos to find your photos. But we feel that is a way better deal than having to pay for race photos.
