Racine MultiSports is a life long dream of its founder, Ken Racine. Ken has been involved with bike racing, running, and triathlons since the 80’s. He credits the sport of triathlon and the athletes he trained with for turning his life around when he was 19 years old. “I was just out of high school when I entered the sport of triathlon. At that time, I did not have a strong mentor in my life to help guide me. I was unsure about college and my future. I turned to triathlons after watching my sister compete in an Olympic distance triathlon. The event brought me to tears as I watched her and many others cross the finish line, knowing they had achieved a personal goal that required preparation and planning. I poured myself into the sport and the older athletes adopted me without question. These older athletes were fathers and business men who in a way became my mentors and created a vision of who I wanted to become. I owe so much to the sport and to those men. And now, through Racine MultiSports, I can give back to the sport I love by providing the same life changing venue to youth and adult athletes looking to improve themselves!”

In 2007, Ken, his wife, and some close friends launched the Hagerstown Youth and Sprint Triathlon. It was a dream come true for Ken. This launched Racine MultiSports as a race production company creating races from scratch. Over the years, as the Racine MultiSports "brand" of races grew so too did the team of people who Ken assembled to handle a growing business. Check out the amazing RMS Team here. Along side of these branded races, Ken launched a client based business that later became Racine Timing. This client business grew each year and goes far beyond timing, to include course support and full race production. Then in 2023, Racine MultiSports shifted away from producing their own races to focus on the ever growing client business. At the start of 2025, Racine MuliSports is going strong and is exclusively focused now on their client business. Much of their original races are still going under new brands. You can learn about that on the Racine Events page
